Campers prepare for talent show in the final week of camp 2018

The AGBU Western District is excited to announce the hire of Lara Armani as the new Camp Director of its summer day camp program, Camp Amaras. Armani, a 4th and 5th grade math teacher at AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School (MDS), is also an AGBU alumni having attended MDS for over a decade. Besides attending AGBU MDS, Armani was the Local Commission for the AGBU San Fernando Valley Scouts and volunteered her time at the chapter level. In 2015, she visited AGBU’s Camp Antranik in Armenia with the Scouts. Later in 2016, she chaperoned a group of students from MDS at AGBU’s Camp Nubar in New York.

As a dedicated AGBU alumnus, Armani brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Camp Amaras. It is always a proud moment when AGBU alumni return and dedicate their time to give back to the AGBU community. The Western District is looking forward to yet another successful year for summer camp with exciting programs in place.

AGBU Camp Amaras will kick off the week of June 17 and run for 7 weeks ending on August 2. To sign up, please visit www.agbuwd.org/summer or call the AGBU Western District office at 626-794-7942 for more information.
