On the last Thursday of March, AGBU YPLA hosted its monthly social mixer, BYOB: Bring Your Own Business Cards. YPs mixed, mingled, and networked over cocktails at Idle Hour in North Hollywood after clocking-out of the office. Whether or not business cards were in-hand, YPs jumped into conversation with familiar folks and new friends. BYOB: Bring Your Own Business Cards occurs on the last Thursday of every month (with the exception of the month of April in remembrance of the Armenian Genocide) to mix in social networking with workday responsibilities.
Here is what young professionals that attended AGBU YPLA’s BYOB: Bring Your Own Business Cards had to say about March’s mixer:
“AGBU YPLA is exceptional in providing a niche for Armenians to meet and work with each other across different industries.” – Hrag Yessaian
“These days, it’s difficult to maintain the relationships we spent so much time cultivating throughout our AGBU years. It’s very easy to lose touch. AGBU YP events, like BYOB, make it just as easy to reconnect and rekindle those relationships.” – Tiffany Esmailian
“As one of the organizers of the event, I was extremely happy to see such a large turnout. I am proud to be representing YPLA and even more excited to help successful Armenian young professional communities network with one another. With over 200 young professionals in attendance, it’s clear that BYOB: Bring Your Business Cards is purposeful in bringing our community together.” – Vicken Antounian, AGBU YPLA Social Events Lead
